Mexican-American singer Adriel Favela is back and better than ever with his 10th studio album, Origen. In a recent interview with Deco, he gave fans an inside look at his musical journey and personal life.
Favela, known for his smooth fusion of corridos and mariachi, is embracing his roots on this album after spending time experimenting with mariachi. “Corridos are in my veins, in my heart,” he shared, reflecting on his musical evolution.
While in Miami, Favela couldn’t help but gush about the Magic City. “I love Miami. I love my album. I’m in the right place with the right people,” he said, all while soaking in the energy of the city he’s come to adore.

Not shy about getting personal, the singer revealed that his music is a reflection of his life: “My personal life is my music, it’s what I express. It’s always been real — what I lived, what I sing, what I write.”
Adriel Favela: “Oh, my God, I miss the food, I miss the vibe of the people. The people here are crazy; their vibe’s always happy, even when they fight in the traffic. Honestly, if I could, I would live here, no doubt.”
Adriel Favela (singing): “Se bajan, se suben. Los vestiditos allá en las nubes.”
With Origen marking a new chapter in his career, Favela is more present than ever, fully embracing collaborations and a future filled with good music. And when it comes to performing, Miami’s famous beachfront festivals are calling his name.
