Lorrie Morgan Remembers Late Husband Keith Whitley In Sweet Family Tribute Video

by Coco

Country music star Lorrie Morgan is keeping her late husband Keith Whitley’s memory alive more than 30 years after his passing.

On Saturday, May 10, Lorrie shared a touching video on Facebook that showed her visiting Keith’s grave with their son Jesse Keith Whitley and other family members. The video, which had the caption “Missing Keith Whitley,” was a heartfelt tribute that had fans feeling all the emotions.

The clips looked like they were from May 9, 2023, and started with the words “Remember when…” On a quiet day at the cemetery, Lorrie, Jesse, and family were seen sitting on a picnic blanket, smiling and spending time together by Keith’s headstone. There was even a glimpse of what seemed to be Lorrie’s own future headstone next to Keith’s.

The family appeared to be enjoying a peaceful picnic, sharing stories and love at the place where the country music legend rests. It was a simple, sweet way to remember someone so important to them.

Keith Whitley was only 34 years old when he passed away in 1989 from alcohol poisoning. He had just started making waves in country music, and his death shocked fans everywhere.

But Keith’s music never stopped touching hearts. In 2022, he was honored by being added to the Country Music Hall of Fame. During the ceremony, Lorrie gave an emotional speech about her late husband.

“He never knew how good he was,” she said. “He would be absolutely blown away if he were here today. He would be saying that surely they got it wrong.”

Their son Jesse, now 37, also spoke about his dad with pride. “He’s got the best sad songs and love songs ever,” Jesse said. “If you want a history lesson in country music, that’s who you need to listen to.”

While Lorrie was remembering Keith, she’s also been facing challenges in her personal life. In April 2024, she shared that her current husband, Randy White, is battling mouth cancer.

Because of his treatment, Lorrie had to cancel all concerts and appearances for two weeks in April. Her manager, Tony Conway, explained in a statement that Randy had been readmitted to a hospital in Middle Tennessee.

Back in December 2024, Lorrie gave fans an update on Randy’s health. She wrote on Facebook, “We are strong and he is determined. I love you, RanRan.”

Lorrie and Randy have been married since 2010. They tied the knot in a quiet beach wedding and have stayed strong through the ups and downs of life.

Even with the pain of losing Keith and the worry over Randy’s health, Lorrie continues to show grace and strength. Her tribute video reminds fans that love never fades, and music can keep someone’s spirit alive forever.

Whether she’s singing on stage or visiting a quiet graveyard with her family, Lorrie Morgan proves that country music—and love—runs deep.
