Megyn Kelly Fires Back at Beyoncé Over ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tour Footage, Calls Out Singer for Playing Victim
Megyn Kelly isn’t holding back after discovering that clips of her critical comments about Beyoncé were included in the superstar’s “Cowboy Carter” tour.
On a recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly addressed the edited footage taken from her appearance on Paul Murray Live, where she joked that Beyoncé’s album was being called a “Second Coming” and called the singer the “savior of country music.” Kelly described Beyoncé as “one more aggrieved woman” for using these clips to play the victim.
Kelly said, “You’re not allowed to rip on her, by the way, you’re not allowed to rip on Michelle Obama, either, but we do. Too bad. The more untouchable you tell me somebody is, the more likely I am to want to hit them.”
She added that Beyoncé had to search the internet to find any criticism at all, and despite being one of the richest and most beloved women in the world, she still chooses to act offended over Kelly’s “milk toast” remarks about her country music album.
While many celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Kelly Rowland have praised the Cowboy Carter tour, Kelly remains one of the few voices openly critical of Beyoncé’s new direction.
Oprah shared her excitement after the Los Angeles show, saying she sang “Texas Hold ‘Em” at the top of her lungs, while Kelly Rowland called the concert “incredible” and full of powerful messages.
Megyn Kelly’s comments highlight the ongoing debate about Beyoncé’s venture into country music and the strong reactions it has sparked—from fans, fellow artists, and critics alike.
