The Black Eyed Peas won’t be hitting the Las Vegas stage as planned!
On Sunday, January 19, the iconic supergroup announced via Instagram Stories that their highly anticipated residency in Las Vegas, set for February, will no longer be happening due to “current circumstances.”
The heartfelt message to their fans, aka “Peabodies,” read: “It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned.” They reassured fans that all ticket providers would issue automatic refunds, adding, “Stay tuned for updates on future performances—we can’t wait to see you again.”
Back in September 2024, the group had promised fans an electrifying new experience with “Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Residency.” Set for Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live, the residency was supposed to run across 15 shows from February to May, featuring the usual hitmakers Will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, Taboo, and new member J. Rey Soul. There was even talk of a cutting-edge AI bandmate named “Vida” joining the fun, blending technology and music like never before.
Will.i.am had teased that “Vida” wouldn’t just be another hologram but an interactive AI presence, connecting with the band and audience 24/7—an exciting and futuristic addition that fans were eager to experience.
For now, though, it seems the residency is on hold, and fans will have to wait for future updates.
