Teddy Swims Thanks Girlfriend Raiche Wright For Helping Calm His ‘little Nervous System’

Teddy Swims is opening up about how his girlfriend, Raiche Wright, has been a source of calm during his personal struggles. At Selena Gomez’s Rare Impact Fund Benefit, the “Lose Control” singer shared how Wright has helped him cope with his ongoing battle with nightmares.

Swims revealed that he often wakes up every 30 minutes due to vivid dreams, and Wright has been “really helpful” in managing his anxiety. “She’s been so wonderful and such a holistic person about it,” Swims said. “Here, take some magnesium or take some of this and that. It’s just really helped me turn my… calming my little nervous system.”

The couple’s bond appears to be deeper than ever, with Swims crediting Wright’s support for inspiring his 2024 single Bad Dreams, a track that reflects their comforting relationship. Their connection has only grown stronger, with the two recently announcing they’re expecting a baby. The couple shared the joyous news with an Instagram post featuring a photo of them lounging on the beach, captioned: “We can’t wait to meet you, baby .”

Swims and Wright’s relationship began in February 2024 when they were spotted together at a Grammys party. By May, Wright, also a singer, joined Swims on tour. In a July episode of The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Swims confirmed their romance, sharing how their careers complement each other. “She does what I do, which is great,” he said, explaining how their late-night recording sessions bring them closer.

Despite the chaos of their careers, Swims appears more in love than ever. After a performance with Thomas Rhett at the 2024 CMA Awards, Swims told PEOPLE, “I’m in love, and I’m happy. Everything’s just where it needs to be.”

This positive energy stands in stark contrast to the heartbreak of Swims’ past relationships, including the emotional pain that fueled the lyrics of The Door on his album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1). Looking ahead, Swims promises that his upcoming album I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) will offer a mix of emotions, from heartbreak to love songs. “There’s always going to be a little bit of everything,” Swims teased. “There’s songs to make love to, and songs to cry to.”
