Lainey Wilson is officially engaged! The country music star shared the exciting news with her followers on Instagram on February 12, announcing that she and boyfriend Devlin “Duck” Hodges are set to tie the knot. In a heartfelt post, Wilson, 32, captioned a series of romantic photos and videos with the words “4x4xU forever ,” a reference to her song “4x4xU” from her album Whirlwind.
The post featured intimate snapshots of the couple, including one where they are holding hands in front of a charming building and another with framed photos of their relationship surrounded by candles and roses. In addition, Wilson proudly showed off her engagement ring, and the post closed with a playful video of her holding up her ring and saying “boo” as she walked down the stairs.
Celebrity friends, including fellow country artist Kaitlin Butts, flooded the comments with congratulations. Wilson’s engagement announcement comes just days after her performance at the 2025 Grammys, where she was nominated for Best Country Album for Whirlwind. Though she didn’t win, this marks the second year in a row Wilson has been nominated in this category.
While Wilson and Hodges made their relationship public in 2023, they have been dating since 2021. Earlier, in an interview with CMT, Wilson hinted at her desire for marriage, joking about possibly proposing to Hodges herself.
Wilson, who is set to embark on her Whirlwind World Tour in March, will continue to balance her career with her new chapter alongside Hodges. The tour will include stops in Europe before heading back to the U.S. in November.
