The Truth Behind Harry Styles’ Las Vegas Residency Rumors: What’s Really Going On?

by Coco

Rumors that Harry Styles is gearing up for a residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere have been officially debunked. Despite online speculation claiming that the former One Direction heartthrob, now 31, was in talks for a 35-date residency at the iconic venue, a spokesperson for Sphere Entertainment has confirmed there’s no truth to the buzz.

In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly on Thursday, March 13, a representative clarified, “To set the record straight, there have never been plans for Harry Styles to perform at Sphere.” Billboard was the first to report the swirling rumors.

Instead, the focus at Sphere is on upcoming performances from the likes of country superstar Kenny Chesney, the beloved Backstreet Boys, and classic rock band Dead & Company. The Eagles are currently thrilling crowds with their residency, set to run through April 12.

Fans hoping for more Harry live shows might be a little disappointed, as Styles has kept his public appearances to a minimum since wrapping up his global Love On Tour in 2023. After an epic tour supporting his Fine Line and Harry’s House albums, which included 15 nights at Madison Square Garden and another 15 at California’s Kia Forum, Styles bid adieu to his fans on Instagram with a heartfelt message: “Goodbye for now. Love On Tour forever.”

Since then, the “As It Was” singer has kept a low profile, staying out of the spotlight and avoiding red carpets and events. However, in recent weeks, fans have caught glimpses of Styles in a few unexpected places. Earlier this month, he was spotted in the audience at Sabrina Carpenter‘s concert in London, and even more surprisingly, he was seen participating in the annual Tokyo Marathon.

In a now-viral video from March 1, Styles, dressed in a black Nike hoodie, matching shorts, neon-yellow sneakers, and sunglasses, blended in with the crowd as he ran the marathon incognito. His efforts were impressive, completing the race in 3:24:07 with an average pace of 4:51/km, ranking him 6,010th overall.

The marathon may just be one of Styles’ favorite hobbies, alongside Pilates and meditation, which he credits with helping him stay grounded. “It’s changed my life, but it’s so subtle,” he told Vogue in 2020. “It’s helped me be more present—whether it’s food, coffee, being with a friend, or a swim in a really cold pond.”

For now, it seems the global superstar will be keeping his performances to a minimum, giving his fans plenty of time to catch up on his past shows and enjoy his quieter moments.
