Trisha Yearwood’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on March 24, 2025, was a heartwarming celebration of her career, with a special tribute to her close friend, Reba McEntire.
During her speech, Yearwood, 60, reflected on McEntire’s early kindness in her career, recalling how the country legend sent her flowers at her first award show when no one else acknowledged her.
Yearwood had initially thought they were from her parents, but was moved to find out they were from McEntire, who was present as a guest speaker at the ceremony.
“Reba exemplifies friendship and class,” Yearwood said. “I’m so blessed we became friends, not just colleagues.”
In her speech, McEntire, 69, reminisced about meeting Yearwood at the ACM Awards, noting their shared bond over their close relationship with their mothers. “I love her already,” McEntire said of Yearwood, citing her wit and humor.
The two stars reflected on the strong camaraderie among women in country music, with Yearwood emphasizing that the industry is full of support rather than rivalry. “We’re all cheering for each other,” Yearwood declared.
Yearwood’s husband, Garth Brooks, was by her side throughout the ceremony, sharing in the joy of the occasion. Carly Pearce also joined as a guest speaker, rounding out the memorable event.
