Justin Bieber Cracks A Joke On Stevie Wonder — And Drake’S Still Waiting On That Collab

by Coco

On April 10, the 31-year-old pop superstar shared a funny post on Instagram Stories showing a FaceTime call attempt with none other than music legend Stevie Wonder. In the screenshot, Bieber smiled at the camera, waiting for the 74-year-old singer to pick up. But his caption? That’s what had fans laughing.

“This fool never sees my facetimessss,” Bieber wrote, joking about Wonder’s well-known lifelong blindness. And just to make the moment even better, he added Wonder’s hit song “Overjoyed” as the background music.

The light-hearted joke comes years after the two shared the stage together. Back in 2011, Bieber and Wonder performed “Someday at Christmas” at a charity concert in L.A. and teamed up again on The X Factor finale to sing “The Christmas Song.” Talk about holiday magic!

But Bieber hasn’t just been calling people — he’s been calling out to artists too.

On April 6, he posted to his Instagram, writing: “Dm me if u wanna make music together.” Fans and artists alike rushed to reply. One big name who took the invitation seriously? Drake.

The 38-year-old rapper jumped into the comments with, “I DM’d but no reply.” Ouch! Seems like Bieber might’ve missed that one — or maybe he’s just keeping fans guessing.

Other artists like Big Sean, Kehlani, Jaden Smith, and Bailey Zimmerman also chimed in. But so far, Bieber hasn’t responded to any of them directly.

Meanwhile, Wonder recently reflected on his childhood and journey in a deep conversation with journalist Wesley Morris and former President Barack Obama on The Wonder of Stevie podcast.

“I was born. Shortly after that, I’m blind,” Wonder said. He remembered how his mother used to cry every night until he told her, “Mama, you shouldn’t cry, you’re making my head hurt.” Then he added something that would stick with him forever: “Maybe God has something for me that’s bigger than all this.” And wow — history definitely showed he was right.

As for Bieber, fans are keeping their eyes (and ears) open for what’s next. His last album, Justice, dropped in 2021. But with all these teases and a growing list of artists waiting to collab, new music might just be around the corner.

And who knows? Maybe Stevie will finally “see” that FaceTime.
