SZA Spreads Gratitude And Kindness On Sesame Street – Watch Her Teach Through Song!

by Coco

SZA is spreading some serious good vibes on Sesame Street! In the April 10th episode of the beloved children’s show, the “Scorsese Baby Daddy” singer joined Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Gabrielle to teach a lesson on gratitude.

SZA, 35, starts by explaining a special tool for remembering the things we’re thankful for: a gratitude jar. “A gratitude jar is a place where you can put words or pictures of things you’re grateful for,” she says with a smile. It’s a simple but powerful way to focus on the positive.

She shares how the jar can be helpful, especially when life feels tough. “Sometimes when you feel sad or have other really big feelings, it can be easy to forget the things that we’re thankful for,” SZA explains. “So the jar helps us to remember.”

But SZA doesn’t stop there! She and her new friends break into a catchy tune about kindness and gratitude. The lyrics remind us to be gentle with ourselves, stay positive, and appreciate what we have:

“If you’re solving a puzzle/But it’s taking too long/To figure out/Where all the pieces belong/Be kind to yourself/Don’t stop having fun/Be proud of the job/That you’ve already done.”

Then everyone joins in the chorus: “Be kind to me, be kind to you/Being kind is how I show my gratitude/Kindness can change the way you feel/Gratitude’s the right attitude.”

It’s a song that could heal anyone’s inner child!

SZA’s appearance on Sesame Street was extra special. It wasn’t her first time visiting the show—she previously appeared in 2024, seven years after jokingly wondering how to land a guest spot. Reflecting on the full circle moment, she shared her excitement on social media: “GODS TIMING !!! FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND SAY THEM OUTLOUD !! NEVER GIVE UP !! ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE I BELIEVE IN YOU !! 🫶🏾🥹💛”

The Sesame Street crew also gave a sweet shout-out to the five-time Grammy winner, thanking her for her visit. SZA, ever the fan of the show, reposted on X, saying, “Children’s songs make me so happy lol ❤️ SAVE THE KIDS! Save SESAME STREET !!”

Other star-studded guest appearances this season include Noah Kahan, Chris Stapleton, Reneé Rapp, Michael B. Jordan, and more.
