Flogging Molly has announced the cancellation of over 30 performances in 2025 due to frontman Dave King’s serious health condition.
On February 5, the band shared a message on social media revealing that King, whom they called “our fearless leader,” is currently fighting a major health issue. They requested privacy for both King and his wife, Bridget Regan, who is also a band member.
“We ask that you respect their privacy during this challenging time,” the band said. “Any good thoughts or prayers for Dave would be greatly appreciated.”
The statement also confirmed that Flogging Molly would be unable to perform in 2025. Despite the cancellation, the Salty Dog Cruise, scheduled for the near future, will still take place. Eighteen bands, including members of Flogging Molly, will be part of the event to honor King and celebrate the community.
In addition to the cruise, Flogging Molly’s upcoming Road to Rebellion Tour, set to start on February 24, has also been canceled.
Details regarding King’s health remain undisclosed. However, fellow musicians and bands have expressed their support for the lead singer.
“Love and prayers for Dave’s health and recovery,” wrote pro-skateboarder Steve Caballero.
The German rock band Donots commented, “Keeping Dave, Bridget and you guys in our thoughts. Truly hope everything will be fine in the end.”
NOFX also sent their well wishes, adding, “Much love to Dave and the whole FM family.”
