Justin Bieber is getting real about his struggles with self-worth and authenticity.
On Saturday, March 22, the 31-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a candid reflection alongside a video of himself jamming on a keyboard with fellow musicians. Despite appearing upbeat, his caption revealed deeper emotions:
“I think I hate myself sometimes when I feel myself start to become inauthentic,” he wrote. “Then I remember we’re all being made to think we’re not enough, but I still hate when I change myself to please people.”
Earlier that day, Bieber opened up even more, admitting he’s working on his temper.
“I got anger issues too, but I wanna grow and not react so much smh,” he wrote, sharing three photos: one of himself hiding under a hoodie, a childhood snapshot, and a picture of his baby son, Jack Blues, born in August 2024.
Fans have noticed Bieber’s introspective posts in recent weeks. On March 13, he revealed past feelings of fraudulence, writing, “People told me my whole life, ‘Justin, you deserve that,’ but I’ve always felt unworthy… If only they knew my thoughts.”
This emotional transparency comes after a TMZ report on February 23 described Bieber’s past year as “very transformative,” with the singer ending multiple close friendships and business relationships. A rep for Bieber dismissed recent drug use rumors as “salacious” and emphasized that he’s now prioritizing his health, music, and family—especially wife Hailey Bieber and their son.
From personal struggles to self-improvement, Bieber seems determined to grow—on his own terms.
