Singer Cassie Ventura shared disturbing details in court this week about her relationship with music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, saying she would often get sick during intense sex parties, known as “Freak Offs” — and that Diddy still told her to keep going.
The shocking claims came during Diddy’s second day of trial in Manhattan on Tuesday, May 13, where he faces serious charges of sex trafficking and transporting people to engage in prostitution. He has pleaded not guilty.
Cassie, who dated Diddy on and off until 2018, told the jury that she had to take heavy drugs before and during the sex parties — just to get through them.
“During Freak Offs, I would take [pills] all the time,” she said. “If we ran out, we would call friends, drug dealers.”
She explained that the drugs — including cocaine, ketamine, GHB, ecstasy, MDMA, and mushrooms — made her feel “euphoric” and more able to go along with things she didn’t want to do.
“For me, it was dissociative and numbing,” Cassie said. “I can’t imagine doing any of it without a buffer — it was emotionless. I didn’t want to have sex with a stranger.”
Cassie told the court that sometimes the drug effects would wear off after a few hours, and she’d have to take more just to keep up. And even when she got physically sick, she said Diddy still wanted her to continue.
According to her, the “Freak Offs” were full of baby oil, male escorts, and were always recorded — something prosecutors believe Diddy used as blackmail material.
Cassie gave her emotional testimony while sitting just a few feet away from Diddy in the courtroom. She didn’t look at him once when entering or leaving. At moments, she spoke softly, and at other times she looked visibly shaken as she told her story.
The Freak Offs have become a key part of the case, with Cassie saying she took drugs during every single one of the sessions, because it was the only way she could get through what was happening.
