Beyoncé just can’t catch a break from country music’s biggest awards! Despite her impressive Grammy wins, including Best Country Album, the superstar was snubbed for the 2025 ACM Awards.
The snub came as the Academy of Country Music announced the nominations on March 27. Ella Langley led the pack, while the “CUFF IT” singer was noticeably absent from the list. Ouch!
This isn’t the first time Beyoncé has been overlooked by country music. She was also left out of the CMA Awards nominations back in September. That had fans and celebrities alike scratching their heads.
Following the 2025 ACM snub, stars like Luke Bryan, Kelly Clarkson, and even Whoopi Goldberg spoke out, questioning why Beyoncé’s presence in country music seemed to be ignored.
Kelly Clarkson, who knows a thing or two about breaking into new genres, told NBC10 Boston she found the snub “fascinating.” “Those songs were everywhere!” she said, expressing her surprise.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning country album Cowboy Carter made waves, with the album hitting No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and her single “Texas Hold ‘Em” topping the Hot 100. A huge success!
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Beyoncé was shocked when she won Best Country Album, giving an emotional speech about how genre labels can be limiting. “Stay persistent,” she urged fellow artists.
Now, for the 2025 ACM Awards, Ella Langley leads the pack with the most nominations, followed closely by country heavyweights like Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson.
The 2025 ACM Awards will take place in Frisco, Texas, on May 8, hosted by Reba McEntire. Fans can expect performances from Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and more.
The show will stream live on Prime Video, and limited tickets are available through SeatGeek. Will Beyoncé make an unexpected appearance? Stay tuned!
