FKA twigs has officially pulled out of her scheduled Coachella performances and other North American tour dates this April, citing unresolved visa issues as the cause.
In a heartfelt message shared via Instagram on Friday, April 4, the British singer expressed her deep disappointment at having to cancel her much-anticipated appearances, including performances at Coachella on April 11 and 18 and the Ceremonia festival in Mexico.
“I’m devastated to share the news that due to ongoing visa issues I am not able to see through any of my scheduled tour dates for the remainder of April across North America,” she wrote. “It pains me to say this because I am so excited to bring you a creation that I have poured my soul into.”
The 37-year-old artist, known for her genre-blending music and captivating stage presence, had just begun her Eusexua tour in March, kicking off the run of shows in Paris to promote her upcoming 2025 album.
Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, emphasized that this was not a decision she made lightly. She acknowledged the impact on fans who had already purchased tickets and made plans to attend the shows. Alongside her message, she shared behind-the-scenes footage and clips from her performances, giving followers a glimpse of what the show would have offered.
The performer assured fans that efforts are underway to reschedule the canceled performances. She encouraged ticket holders to check with their original point of purchase for updates on refunds and new dates.
“Back to you all with more updates as soon as I have them — in the meantime here are some of my favorite parts of the show that we worked so hard to create,” she wrote.
This latest update follows an earlier announcement from March 26, when the singer explained on TikTok that her tour production team had failed to submit the proper visa paperwork in time. As a result, several U.S. and Canadian dates, including stops in New York, Chicago, and Toronto, were postponed.
“I was informed that production did not fill out the correct paperwork in a timely manner for us to have our visas to come to the U.S.A. and perform,” she said in the video.
She also addressed fan confusion about the Toronto cancellation, clarifying that the decision was tied to the complexities of international tour routing rather than Canada’s visa policies.
“I don’t take this lightly. I’m completely devastated. All I want to do is be there with you and bring Eusexua to you,” she added emotionally.
New dates for New York have been rescheduled for April 23 and 24, while Chicago shows are now set for June 24 and 25. Toronto’s revised schedule is still pending.
Despite the setbacks, FKA twigs remains committed to sharing her latest artistic vision with fans as soon as the logistical challenges are resolved.
