Juror Cut From Diddy’S Trial After Saying He Could ‘Buy His Way Out Of Jail’

by Coco

The courtroom went quiet when one woman—Juror #48—said what many might only whisper: “Diddy has a lot of money… and could possibly buy his way out of jail.”

That bold statement got her kicked out of jury duty fast.

On Tuesday, May 6, in a Manhattan federal court, the second day of jury selection for music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial took an unexpected turn.

Jurors were being questioned by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian to see if they could be fair and unbiased. But one woman’s answer raised eyebrows.

She didn’t hold back, saying Diddy’s wealth could help him avoid jail time. When the judge asked her to explain more, she said, “I don’t know how to explain it.”

But the damage was done. She was dismissed soon after.

The same woman also shared something deeply personal—someone had once tried to rape her. She appeared to criticize how the police handled it, saying, “The cops could do a lot more, but there’s only so much you can.”

Her honesty made it clear that she couldn’t stay neutral. And in a trial like this one, that matters.

Diddy is facing some very heavy accusations. He’s been charged with:

  • Sex trafficking
  • Racketeering
  • Transportation to engage in prostitution

He was arrested back in September 2024 and has pleaded not guilty to everything.

On the first day of jury selection, Diddy appeared in court with gray hair. He told the judge he was “a little nervous.” He even asked for—and got—a quick bathroom break.

So far, he’s been denied bail three times and remains in jail.

The jury pool was asked if they knew several famous names, including:

  • Kanye West
  • Michael B. Jordan
  • Mike Myers
  • Kid Cudi

But just because those names came up doesn’t mean they’ll take the stand.

Fans were shocked to hear Jordan’s name mentioned. But sources say he won’t be testifying.

He was brought up only because Diddy’s ex, Cassie Ventura, mentioned her brief relationship with Jordan in a past lawsuit. Cassie will be testifying—but under her real name, Casandra Ventura.

Prosecutors say Diddy held events called “freak offs.” These were allegedly wild, organized sex performances where women were forced or pressured to take part—sometimes with male sex workers involved.

If Diddy is found guilty, he could face life in prison.

As jury selection continues, the court is being very careful. They’re making sure every juror can be fair—especially in a case with this much media attention.
