Justin Baldoni Demands Disney Keep Docs On Nicepool ‘bullying’ Claims

by Coco

Justin Baldoni is taking legal action in response to allegations involving Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool character, Nicepool. In a recent move, Baldoni’s legal team sent a litigation hold letter to Disney and Marvel Studios, urging them to preserve any documents related to the character’s development, including those that could support his claims of being “bullied” by the portrayal.

Baldoni’s lawyers are seeking communications that involve the creation and portrayal of Nicepool, a minor character in Deadpool & Wolverine, and any materials that might show a deliberate attempt to mock or harass Baldoni. The actor’s legal team links the character’s development to a wider personal dispute with Lively and Reynolds, especially given Baldoni’s podcast Man Enough, which addresses modern masculinity and has been connected to Nicepool’s portrayal.

The situation has escalated with Baldoni denying claims made by Blake Lively, who has accused him of sexual harassment, retaliation, and creating a hostile work environment during the filming of It Ends With Us. As this case unfolds, Baldoni’s legal team is focusing on the potential role of Nicepool in the alleged mistreatment. Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman has already indicated plans for a lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds over what he sees as retaliatory actions.
