Country music fans, get ready for a night to remember! The 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) just added more big names to their performance lineup. The show will be held on May 8, and it’s shaping up to be a star-studded event.
On Thursday, April 24, the Academy of Country Music, Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions revealed the second round of performers, and it’s going to be epic!
Country music legends like Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Wynonna Judd are all set to take the stage.
They join previously announced performers Blake Shelton, Eric Church, and Lainey Wilson, making this lineup one of the most exciting in years! Hosted by the queen of country herself, Reba McEntire, the show will stream live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, via Prime Video.
The nominations for this year’s ACM Awards were revealed in March, and Weren’t for the Wind singer Ella Langley leads the way with eight nominations. Right behind her are Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, and Cody Johnson with seven each. Chris Stapleton also got six nominations, with Riley Green and Post Malone following closely with five.
Interestingly, while Beyoncé‘s Grammy-winning album Cowboy Carter had country vibes, she didn’t make it onto the nominations list this year.
The 2024 ACM Awards, also hosted by Reba McEntire, were full of surprises! Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson took home the top honors.
Wilson won Entertainer of the Year and Female Artist of the Year, plus she scored Music Event of the Year for her hit Save Me with Jelly Roll. Stapleton dominated with Album of the Year for Higher, Male Artist of the Year, and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
Song of the Year went to the writers of Jordan Davis’ Next Thing You Know, and Nate Smith and Megan Moroney took home the New Artist of the Year awards.
This year’s show promises to be just as exciting, with unforgettable performances and plenty of awards to be handed out. Be sure to tune in on May 8 for all the fun!
