Olivia Rodrigo just made a glowing appearance for a good cause—and she looked like an angel doing it.
The 22-year-old pop star stepped out in New York City on April 24 for Planned Parenthood’s Spring into Action Gala. The big night took place at Cipriani South Street, where Olivia was honored with the Catalyst of Change Award. And yes, she totally stole the spotlight on the red carpet.
Wearing a stunning white floor-length dress with thin straps and a small slit, Olivia kept things simple but elegant. She added silver heels, dainty earrings, and a bright pink lipstick. Her dark hair was tucked neatly behind her ears, showing off her glowing skin and signature confident smile.
But Olivia wasn’t just there to look good—she had something important to say.
When she got on stage to accept her award, Olivia spoke from the heart.
“The greatest privilege my career has given me is the connection I’ve made with women through my music,” she shared.
She talked about performing in front of crowds filled with young girls and how powerful that connection feels.
“To be in a space where we can all feel safe to be wild, emotional and carefree is incredibly powerful,” she said.
But she didn’t stop there. Olivia asked a powerful question:
“What happens to those girls when they leave those venues? Or their dreams?”
She got serious about how many young women face unfair laws and don’t have access to the healthcare they need. “It breaks my heart,” she said, “that some of those girls might not get to follow their dreams the way I’ve been able to follow mine.”
Olivia has never been shy about standing up for what she believes in. Back in 2022, during a concert in Washington, D.C., she spoke out after learning the Supreme Court was planning to overturn Roe v. Wade, the law that protected abortion rights.
“Our bodies should never be in the hands of politicians,” she said onstage.
She urged fans to raise their voices and protect the right to safe abortion—something generations of women fought hard for.
Before she kicked off her GUTS World Tour in February 2024, Olivia launched the Fund 4 Good. This global initiative supports girls’ education, reproductive rights, and protection from gender-based violence.
During her tour, she teamed up with the National Network of Abortion Funds for the U.S. stops. And in December, Olivia announced she was donating more than $2 million from her tour earnings to women’s charities around the world.
The donation helped 10 amazing organizations in countries like the United States, Canada, Japan, Thailand, Australia, and more. These groups support shelters, education, women’s safety, and access to healthcare.
