It was nearly a full NSYNC reunion at Justin Timberlake’s concert on January 20, 2025, at the Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms, California. During his performance, Timberlake took a moment to shout out three of his former bandmates in the audience: JC Chasez, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick.

“Much to my surprise, it’s a very special night tonight,” Timberlake said, smiling at the crowd. “They were smart and left Joey at home,” he joked, referring to Joey Fatone, the fifth member of NSYNC, who was notably absent from the gathering. Timberlake introduced his bandmates, adding, “And the biggest round of applause, ’cause we got JC out the house, baby!”

Fatone’s absence was likely due to his Broadway debut in & Juliet in New York City on January 21. Bass took to Instagram, joking, “In honor of Joey’s Broadway debut tonight, we had a date night without him.” Fatone responded on the post, expressing his appreciation: “You guys are the sweetest. I appreciate it!”

Bass also shared a photo of the four NSYNC members together backstage and a video showing himself and Kirkpatrick enjoying Timberlake’s hit “Suit & Tie” during the show.

Timberlake, currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, had made headlines last summer following an arrest in Long Island for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Despite the controversy, he continued with his tour and only had to cancel two shows due to unrelated injuries.
