Kanye West‘s surprise appearance at the 2025 Grammy Awards raised eyebrows, leaving fans wondering about his role at the event. Despite being nominated for Best Rap Song for his track “Carnival” from Vultures 1, the rapper made a quick appearance with his wife, Bianca Censori, on the red carpet and then left the venue.
According to Grammy executive producer Raj Kapoor, West and Censori were present mainly for the red carpet, as they had no reserved seat inside the show. Kapoor confirmed that West did not have a seat because he wasn’t presenting, performing, or nominated for an award during the televised part of the ceremony.
Kapoor elaborated on the exclusive seating arrangements, explaining that only those who are presenting or performing typically have seats at the VIP tables in the Crypto.com Arena. West’s absence from the seating chart raised further curiosity, as he did not attend the pre-telecast either, where most of the awards are handed out.
Meanwhile, Bianca Censori shocked attendees by wearing a second daring outfit to the afterparty, continuing her bold fashion statements alongside her husband.
