Kelly Clarkson took a nostalgic trip back to the ’90s on February 3, 2025, as she delivered an electrifying performance of Harvey Danger’s hit “Flagpole Sitta” for the Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Dressed in a “DREAM” T-shirt with “82” on the back, paired with a denim maxi skirt and platform heels, Clarkson rocked the stage alongside her band.
With her signature powerhouse vocals, Clarkson, 42, nailed the iconic lyrics, “I’m not sick but I’m not well/ And I’m so hot ’cause I’m in hell,” before joking at the end of the performance about a minor slip-up in the edit. “If you didn’t notice, it never happened,” she laughed, showing off her trademark humor.
Clarkson’s performance comes after a series of rock-inspired covers, including tracks by The Killers, Foo Fighters, and Smashing Pumpkins. She’s even put her own spin on Taylor Swift’s Midnights hit “Lavender Haze.” Clarkson has also been busy with her own music projects, recently revealing that she started her own label, reflecting on her career growth. “I think I’ve earned the moment,” she shared during a conversation with Keke Palmer.
Fans of Clarkson and rock ‘n’ roll alike won’t want to miss her latest Kellyoke rendition!
